Jeffrey
Grossman, M.D. is the author of Innovative
Doctoring: Solutions Lie Within Us. A full-time non-surgical
spine and pain specialist and part-time inventor, he developed a
laser-guided alignment device, called the Percutaneous Needle Alignment
System, which is designed to improve the accuracy of interventional
pain procedures. Along with successfully selling his invention to
a major medical device company, he also obtained U.S. and international
patents for the device. Active in the medical device community,
he serves on the Advisory Board for the Southeast Medical Device
Association.
Board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American
Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he is also a certified
Independent Medical Examiner by the American Board of Independent
Medical Examiners.
A graduate with high honors from the University of Michigan, he
was conferred the Doctor of Medicine degree by Emory University
School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Atlanta Medical
Center and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at
Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Grossman is an active board member of the Medical association
of Atlanta and the co-chair of the Membership Committee for this
organization. He also serves as a delegate to the Medical Association
of Georgia. He is a member of the International Spinal Injection
Society, North American Spine Society, American Academy of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Society of Interventional
Pain Physicians. He was president of his medical school class and
currently serves as a mentor to Emory medical students and residents.
